Board of Trustees
Meeting October 1, 6:30 p.m.

Concert Sponsorship:
Jeff Boudreau proposed that the Trustees and the library sponsor some concerts through Cultural Council grants. It was pointed out that the library will have no space for concerts once construction is started next summer. A suggestion was made that the musicians themselves apply for Cultural Council grants. The idea of a coffee house program in the expanded library will be considered in the future.
Minutes:
The minutes for the August 6th, September 5th, September 10th, and September 27th meetings were approved. Bob received a letter from the Town Clerk requesting copies of missing minutes from previous years. Chris and Bob will attempt to locate copies.
Request to MBLC or Grant Extension:
Bob spoke to Ann Larson, who is willing to grant an extension on the MBLC grant. Roland made a motion for Bob to draft and send a letter to Ann Larson requesting a grant extension. The motion was seconded by Chris, and unanimously approved.
Response to Burnett family letter requesting a change in the planned parking:
Bob presented a draft letter. Chris made a motion, seconded by Roland that Bob send the letter with the suggested changes. The motion passed unanimously.
Directors’ Report:
Circulation was down slightly in August.
Cathie Velardocchia was hired to replace Verity as Senior Library Technician. Lizzie Harvy will take Dan Stefanis’ place as Shelver.
Kelly presented her recommendation for moving the library’s furnishings and collections.
Other:
Bob signed the State Aid to Public Libraries Application and Compliance, as well as the FY2008 Public Libraries Fnd Reporting Form and Application.
The meeting adjourned at 7:48 p.m.
The next meetings will be November 5th and December 10th at 6 p.m. at Town Hall.
